Nick Knight, Business Consultant and Stuart Woolgar, Security Director of Global Guardians
recently attended the annual Business Breakfast at Southgate School. Welcoming local businesses and national leaders to hear from the schools Headteacher and students about how they are able, through the support of business partners and Future Programmes, help students build a bright and prosperous future.
The programme was welcomed by Diane Alexander, who discussed the aims of the programme, the benefits it will have for students and what the school can offer in support. This was followed by the employers introducing themselves and explaining their views about school leavers/graduates suitability for employment.
Additionally, Student's discussed around small groups throughout the morning to speak about their experiences at school and why they need to be prepared for the world of work - which was also a great opportunity to hear what many individuals had to say through their own experiences. This was delightfully followed by an Apprentice's personal experience into the transition from education to the working world.
Stuart Woolgar said: "It was great to be involved in. Being a business local to Southgate School, and working with various communities around the area, the Global team wanted to share our knowledge and showcase our expertise of what we as a company in particular for for young individuals and offer 'something new' to those around us through social, charitable and career based opportunities."
