Property Spotlight: Garden Walk, Cambridge

Posted on May 14, 2022.

Today we’ll be looking at some of our properties outside of London and taking a little trip to Cambridge, where we have a variety of studio/bedsit style rooms available.

Garden walk is located on a quiet residential street a short walk from the river cam. The rooms have a bathroom with bath tub, a kitchen area and a brightly lit living/sleeping space. They’re ideal for one person or a couple who are happy to share the space.

Cambridge is a historical city with plenty of things to do. It’s well known for it’s university, but beyond that, Cambridge also boasts lots of green open spaces, a bustling city centre with all of the amenities you could ever need and plenty of transport links to get you to nearby towns and London.

There are plenty of things to do in Cambridge, from a variety of pubs, bars and restaurants to botanical gardens and museums. Weekends will never be a bore whilst living here, and due to the low crime rate, you can feel safe travelling around the city no matter the time of day.

If you’ve recently graduated from one of the universities in Cambridge or are one of the many professionals flocking to the city, currently being dubbed the UK’s answer to silicone valley, it’s likely that the high prices have made it difficult to find somewhere to live.

It is one of the UK’s most expensive cities, only 25% cheaper than London, which is why becoming a Guardian is an excellent choice if you’re wanting to save for a deposit for a flat of your own or if you simply want to save money in general.

Our Cambridge flats are £525 per calendar month, whereas the average studio and 1 bedroom flat this close to the city centre range in price from £650 to £1000 per calendar month.

Cambridge is a wonderful place to live if you’re looking to find a balance between city and rural life, there are plenty of villages to meander through on warm days as well as a vibrant night life with student bars and plenty of pubs. It’s also perfect if you’re a cyclist as Cambridge residents cycle everywhere and it’s a popular hobby amongst the locals. Regardless of your choice of transport, it’s a beautiful place to live and has been voted one of the best places in the UK for everything from safety to average salary.
