Meet our Guardians // Fran
Posted on December 30, 2020.
Fran is one of our Hackney based Property Guardians. She is very familiar with Guardianship having used the Property Guardian services for 9 years in total. She is a returning Global Guardian, who is “delighted to be back!” - and it is a pleasure to have her back too.
Her profession & why Fran loves what she does
Previously, Fran worked in HR but recently she has embraced a new challenge, working for the Ministry of Justice. Our Property Guardian, Francisca, works specifically for the public body, Prisons & Probations Ombudsman (PPO).
Fran is in the support team of the investigators. Her role involves assisting the investigators with any admin they need to help resolve prisoner death cases. As you can imagine, this is a role that requires excellent attention to detail and a lot of resilience. This doesn’t prevent Fran from enjoying her role. She really likes that she “contributes to help people”.
The things we are most likely to find Fran doing in her spare time, are...
… travelling the world and embracing new cultures (pre Covid-19). Under normal circumstances, it would be typical that she would travel 4-5 times a year. She has been to some amazing places in Africa and Asia but if she had to choose her favourite country it would be India - “India blew my mind”.
It is likely we’d find Fran exploring museums and exhibitions. If you’re in London and you get the chance to visit any galleries, Fran would highly recommend:
Here’s what our Property Guardian likes most about Guardianship living…
How spacious her living space is - “it’s huge...gives the idea of having my own place but where I am also able to socialise”. The best of both worlds.
Fran likes the flexibility that Property Guardianship offers. She is an individual that likes to move around every so often, being grateful to experience different parts of London.
Fran’s favourite property & why…
“All my properties have been amazing”
This loyal Guardian has lived in all sorts of unique living spaces including a converted synagogue and a converted hospital but if she had to choose a favourite, it would be her current living space. She loves how big her living space is.
Although she lives with 4 other people, she still feels that she is able to have her privacy when needed, whilst still being able to benefit from the social aspect of living with others.
Types of people Fran feels would benefit from Guardianship…
Individuals that live a bohemian lifestyle
People who are open to living flexibly
Property Guardian advice from a current Property Guardian…
“Find a place you can see yourself being happy in. Nothing lasts forever so be sure your selected property is in an area that suits your needs.”
