Global Guardians have sponsored NSPCC charity this year in order to give back more to help a very important charity. Our team participated in a cycle challenge in collaboration with Metropolitan Thames Valley in order to raise funds for the NSPCC. Our team managed to cycle over 1000km!
Our CEO and Chairman attended the NSPCC HQ in London recently and were very impressed with the facilities on offer to support vulnerable children. They were met by the excellent voluntary staff of the NSPCC who dedicate so much of their time and effort to help answer as many calls from vulnerable children as possible.
Our CEO, Stuart Woolgar, spoke of the experience:
- It was a real eye-opener and reminder to us all how much we need to help the NSPCC and Childline be able to do their work. One of the supervisors explained that the night before our visit there were still a lot of calls that went unanswered because they do not have as much funding as needed to operate at 100%. The supervisors are so integral to helping the front-line operatives with difficult situations, debriefing and guidance. I witnessed high levels of enthusiasm and going above and beyond from all of the volunteers at NSPCC. It deeply upset me that even one call is missed and this is why we will be continuing to sponsor NSPCC in 2019.
