Global Guardians Does its Bit For Homelessness

Crash is a construction industry charity that channel the expertise, products and donations of professionals to help communities thrive. They build new homes and hospices, ensure key workers have access to things like safe parking spaces, and help support those who have suffered with addictions or those who have been less fortunate and found themselves without a place to live. There are a number of projects that Crash work on year-round and they regularly strive to help more communities with the work they do.
This year, Global Guardians have donated £2000 to help fund more of these projects and to make an impact within the communities that are so important to us. Community is a big part of what Global Guardians do. Securing these vacant properties and providing upkeep means the surrounding community benefits as it prevents anti-social behaviour. Donating to crash is something we’ve done for a few years now, and this year we’re glad to be able to make this contribution.
One of the projects Crash has recently undertaken involved the renovation of the Emmaus charity superstore. This is a project that, due to Covid restrictions, took 5 years to complete but was finally completed in November. This project means that the Emmaus charity now have a fully functioning superstore where they can make sales and use the money to help those who have been homeless and need stability. This Emmaus community provides a home for 23 Companions and gives them a place to stay for as long as they need.
These companions work full time in the charity superstore so it was imperative that Crash help them fix it up, which they did and will continue to do if any further issues arise.
Global Guardians has seen what Crash do for communities and has been inspired by them. We hope to continue to support Crash as the years go by.
