There is an increasing expectation for professionals to undertake Continuing Professional Development regardless of industry sector, career level, job role and responsibilities. The CPD Certification Service helps organisations formalise knowledge into a structured and recognised approach to meet those expectations.
This means that Global Guardians can provide formally certified CPD materials which are more likely to become accepted and welcomed by our audiences. Organisations wishing to embrace CPD can display their commitment through CPD Certification Service membership. Member organisations are advised and encouraged to submit potentially qualifying CPD materials for formal and impartial CPD accreditation by a team of experienced CPD Assessors.
We held our first CPD verified event on 29th January 2016, 'Enhancing Croydon'. Our event gave individuals a chance to see how Global Guardians manages our clients' buildings through the use of Property Guardian Security.
This included a tour of a property, a chance to talk to the GGM directors (who have been involved in the industry for over 10 years) and network with other individuals from the public and private property sectors, local councillors and artists from the Brit School.
Global Guardians is accredited with Avetta for the professionalism they demonstrate with regard to health and safety management and contractor management. The Avetta scheme accredits selected quality suppliers in order to provide consistent workmanship throughout our organisation. Avetta is the contractors' choice and an established supplier management service in the UK, Europe and the Middle East and Africa. We are proud to be holders of this accreditation, ensuring that our supply chain is safe, properly insured, financially solvent and exposes the least risk possible.
Global Guardians Management is proud to be members of the British Security Industry Association (BSIA). The BSIA is the trade association for the professional security industry in the UK. BSIA members are responsible for more than 70% of privately provided UK security products and services (by turnover) including the manufacture, distribution and installation of electronic and physical security equipment and the provision of security guarding, property guardianship and consultancy services.
The BSIA gives our company a high degree of credibility and aligns with our aspirations to grow within the vacant property security industry. The BSIA helps us define what the vacant property security industry is going to become and the direction we are going in, allowing our company to have influential input regarding issues and concerns that arise in our industry.
We pioneered the development of property guardianship under the British Standards Institute BS 8584:2015. We continue to push the regulations in the property guardian industry that contribute to this standard.

The Living Wage commitment will see everyone working at Global Guardians, regardless of whether they are permanent employees or third-party contractors and suppliers, receive a minimum hourly wage of £8.75 and £10.20 in London; this is significantly higher than the National Minimum Wage of £7.50. The Living Wage is an hourly rate set independently and updated annually. The Living Wage is calculated according to the basic cost of living using the 'Minimum Income Standard' for the UK.
