BS 8485 Vacant Property Protection
Posted on November 11, 2015
Global Guardians Management is pleased to announce that we assisted with the development and adhere to the newly created British Standard BS 8584 Vacant Property Protection – Code of Practice.
Our Security Director Stuart Woolgar was part of the group of security professionals who worked on the development of this code of practice.
The British Standard provides best code of practice for all vacant property protection methods from CCTV to security boarding and screens to property guardians.
Although property guardianship is a relatively new concept our Security Director Stuart Woolgar has worked at the forefront on developing this service alongside other vacant property management services and products for over a decade.
A very sound starting point for those new to property guardian services is the new British Standard BS 8584 which gives an excellent overview on best practice to consider when using this service. It explains basic terminology such as what a property guardian is all the way through to information relating to the types of property that can be protected by this service and what to expect as the end user.
Global Guardians has an extensive knowledge database and vast experience in the vacant property protection industry and is at the forefront of ensuring compliance with all legislation concerning empty building protection.
